April Fool's Day

Ah, April Fool's Day, when sites all over the internet voluntarily hijack themselves to give themselves and (hopefully) their readers a good laugh. Mutant Reviewers became "The Rob Schneider Worship Page" (*shudder*). Sluggy teased it's readers rather cruelly (sorry, boys). And, of course, the folks at Google had their yearly bit of fun, this time with Google Romance. Honestly, I don't know why Google hasn't gotten into the internet dating business yet. Imagine using your Google searches to match you up with potential mates... You know, on second thought, maybe it's best they stay out that business.

Quote of the Day - March 29, 2006

“I bet a fun thing would be to go way back in time to where there was going to be an eclipse and tell the cave men, "If I have come to destroy you, may the sun be blotted out from the sky." Just then the eclipse would start, and they'd probably try to kill you or something, but then you could explain about the rotation of the moon and all, and everyone would get a good laugh.”

Addicted to T-Shirts

I've been spending way too much time on Zazzle. I haven't bought anything yet (though I did make two more shirts), but there are so many fun shirts! I'll just dump some here so I don't keep posting "oooh, look at this one!" and "This one's great, too!"

Obviously some woman got tired of answering the same four questions over and over and over. I figure you could make a series of these, 24 in all.

Here's one that Thason can wear when VTACO hosts tournaments (or to class, or anytime, really).

Something for Steve Buscemi to wear in his next movie.

There's all kinds of shirts related to being stared at.

There's a whole section of Hubble pictures.

Oh, and there's a whole bunch of fan-designed Firefly stuff. Hehe. Shiny!

I Reject Your Reality...

... and substitute my own. Not created by me, but still a great shirt.

Lobby... lobby... lobby... lobby...

HBO Feature Presentation

Comcast is having a special free month of HBO this month. Watching the intro for their feature presentation, I realized how much I miss the original (HBO Feature Presentation, 1982). The town reminds me of the model that Adam built of the town in Beetle Juice. Ah, '80's movies. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Distrubing News

My, but there were some distrubing stories in the news today. If you're eating, either stop reading or stop eating. There's this story (DISTURBING PICTURE WARNING!) of a girl who died today, a year after the surgery to have her second head removed (yes, I said second head).

Then there's the woman who kidnapped her children and stole her husband's identity - so much so, that the children even call her "Daddy". Just how do you go about explaining this to the kids?

Zazzle

You know those T-Shirts I wanted to make? I've found a way. Just the one, so far. And not my best, I agree. But I want to see how this work before posting the best ones. "Wierd and proud of it" and "Space Cadet" are waiting in the wings for now. "Martian Exchange Student" may go up next if I can think of a good picture, otherwise "Believe It or Else" will be next, since that doesn't really need art. This could get addictive...
