You Mean You Can Have a Party Without Booze?
Apparently, a kid in Wisconsin held a party with all the trappings of a drinking party (complete with keg and drinking games) but without the alcohol. All of the participants were under age, so when the cops came after neighbors complained about cars blocking the road, they started doing breathalyser tests. According to the article, "Nearly 90 breath tests were done, and officers even searched locked rooms for hiding teens." 90? Really? You'd think that after the first 20 or so, they would have realized that maybe, possibly, no alcohol was being served. How about sampling the contents of the keg? What was going through their minds as each test came back negative? "Another one? Unbelievable. These are teenagers! At a party! Surely some of them have been drinking! We must find them, no matter the cost!"
The good news is, the cops helped the organizer of the party prove his point - red cups and teen parties do not necessarily equal underage drinking.
