Happy Independence Day
The first of the fireworks have already happened (imagine, I was actually asleep at 2 am). My name, however, was not on the list.
Traffic from Richmond to D.C. was amazingly light this morning. Now I get to find out if I can see fireworks from my aparment.

Jody and my July 4th celebration was getting to sleep in our new house with no curtains on our windows yet, so I got to see some fireworks thorugh the windows.
The other tower was almost blocking one set of fireworks south of me. I had to stand on the far edge of my patio to see them. Another set in College Park was just below the tree line, so I saw some occasional sparks. Apparently, Greenbelt's fireworks were brilliantly visible from the other side of my apartment building. I could hear the booms and see the flashed of light reflecting off the other tower. Finally, I ran down the stairs to see if I could see them from the ground level. I heard the last of the show as I exited the building. Dang it.
